Curiouser and Curiouser by ~Ratgirlstudios

An older piece of mine I don’t believe I ever posted here.

Drawing demon queens. Sort of inspired by the evil queen’s wardrobe in Snow White & the Huntsman, which were amazing designs in spite of the horribleness that was that movie.

Work in progress…

I’ve had the ‘This is Halloween stuck in my head for the past few days for some reason.

Old Hunger Games art from before the movie was even cast.

Allie the Outcast from Neal Shusterman’s Skinjacker trilogy, which I highly recommend.

A Super Beginning

ratgirlstudios:

I’ve recently come to dislike my old blog over at wordpress and have now decided to try out tumblr.  It seems to come highly recommended and hopefully this is a wise decision and not just the result of craziness induced by seeing The Green Hornet (on that note can I have one of those cars? and is Cato included?).  Speaking of superheros here’s one for you to look at.  She’s no Green Hornet, but she does have the standard cape requirement.

I’m currently visiting my family and don’t have my tablet (or scanner) with me. In order to keep my tumblr semi-active I’m re-blogging some older stuff that some of my new followers may have missed.

One of my favorite things about A Game of Thrones (and the rest of the series) is GRRM’s ability to change your mind about a character.  Upon first reading Game of Thrones I hated Sansa. She was a silly little girl with very bad judgement. During Clash of Kings I pitied her situation and became intrigued by her character growth. When I reached the end of Storm of Swords she was one of my favorite characters.  Upon rereading the first book I  was able to reevaluate her actions, seeing them in a different light. She had grown from the little girl who believed in happy endings to an intriguing young woman with the prospect of becoming so much more than a pretty little songbird.  I have theory that Sansa is going to become one of the most dangerous characters in Westeros.  In my heart of hearts I really want her to be the one to destroy Cersei Lannister.

Got bored last night and started painting Ariel.  Finished it today.
